On hunger strike, Yasin Malik admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital

Kashmiri separatist leader Yasin Malik was sitting on hunger strike in Tihar Jail, after which his health deteriorated and now he has been admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. According to jail officials, the chief of the banned outfit Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front has been taken to the hospital after seeing fluctuations in blood pressure.

The JKLF chief Yasin Malik had been on hunger strike since July 22. Yasin Malik says that his case which is under consideration is not being investigated properly, so he sat on a hunger strike. The top officials of the jail also came to talk to Yasin Malik but he refused to leave the hunger strike, after which his health deteriorated.

Malik (56), the chief of the banned Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), began a hunger strike on Friday morning. An official said on Tuesday, “Malik, who is kept in a separate cell in Jail No 7 amid tight security, has not been eating anything since Friday morning. He is still on hunger strike and his health is being continuously monitored by the doctors.”

Moreover, the JLKF chief is serving a life sentence in a terror funding case at Tihar jail, Delhi.
