Hyundai has had a busy start to the year 2023. After launching its electric flagship, the Ioniq5 at the Auto Expo, the Korean carmaker has launched the facelifts of its two most affordable cars in India, the Grand i10 Nios and Aura. Both get some significant changes when compared to earlier, specially when it comes to looks and safety. The headlamps though remain the same but on the profile you get redesigned diamond cut alloy wheels. On the rear of the Grand i10 Nios the big change are the new tail lamps that are connected with a reflector script. The car comes in 6 monotone and 2 dual tone exterior colour options including the new ‘Spark Green’ option. On the Aura, the rear wing spoiler and chrome garnish help give the car an upmarket look. The sedan is available in 6 monotone exterior colour options that includes a new Starry Night option. On the 2nd row you get AC vents as well as adjustable headrests. Engine Both the new Aura and Grand i10 Nios run on the same 1.2 litre naturally aspirated Petrol engine that makes 83 PS and 113 Nm. The engine is available with both a 5-speed manual as well as a 5-speed AMT gearbox. A CNG version is available too on both cars, albeit with just a manual version. Here the power drops to 69 PS and 95 Nm. Hyundai says that the engine, powertrain options on both cars are RDE compliant and E20 Fuel ready. Unlike earlier both cars do not get diesel as well as Turbo Petrol options.
