Mumbai’s western suburbs face prolonged water supply disruption

Water supply remains disrupted in various areas of the western suburbs as repair efforts on a major 1800 mm diameter water pipeline near Seepz Entrance in Andheri East are extending beyond the initial timeline anticipated by the civic authorities. The pipeline suffered damage during drilling activities related to the Mumbai Metro project on November 30. Officials now estimate that the repair work will conclude by the evening of Sunday, December 3. The BMC has assured that water will be restored to the wards of K East (Andheri East), K West (Andheri West), H West (Bandra West), N (Ghatkopar), and L ward (Kurla) once the repair is successfully completed.
