Police claimed on Tuesday that seven people, including three women, were arrested in Mumbai’s Kurla East after killing a man named as Sajid Ali Shabbir Qureshi over a family feud.
Sajid and his family were attacked by a mob of around a dozen persons on Saturday night, according to Chunabhatti police. Sajid’s brother was also seriously injured while attempting to save Sajid.
The event began with a little altercation and quickly evolved into a violent brawl.
Following the incident, police filed a FIR against 12 people under sections 302,307,323,324,326,341,120-B, 143,145,147,148, and 149, and seven people were arrested.
Previously, victims and attackers had long been involved in conflicts over minor concerns and had filed cases against each other.
