The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) commenced the board examinations for Class 5th and Class 8th on Wednesday. The exams for Class 5th will conclude on March 13, while those for Class 8th will end on March 14. District Education Officer (DEO) Manglesh Vyas stated that approximately 51,000 Class 5th students and around 48,000 Class 8th students will be appearing for the exams in the district.
Rajkumar Katiyar, the exam centre head of Swami Vivekananda School in Indore, mentioned that all necessary arrangements have been made by the government to ensure that no student is deprived of taking the examination. Teachers have visited students’ homes to inform them about the exam timetable. Both government and private school teachers are on duty to ensure the exams are conducted peacefully, and facilities such as electricity and water have been arranged at the exam centres.
Regarding the Class 11th exams, Katiyar explained that the timing was changed from 9 am-12 pm to 2-5 pm to accommodate the Class 5th and 8th board exams. The exam papers for Class 9th and 11th exams, which are also being held on the board pattern, are being sent to the exam centres from the local police stations an hour before the exams.
The Class 9th and Class 11th exams started on Wednesday, March 6, and will conclude on March 23. Class 9th exams are scheduled in the evening shift from 2-5 pm, while Class 11th exams were initially planned for the morning shift. However, due to the board exams for Class 5th and 8th, the timing of the Class 11th annual exams scheduled for March 6, 7, 11, and 14 has been changed to the evening shift from 2-5 pm. The timing for the remaining dates will remain the same.
