Moosewala’s family anticipates new arrival as late singer’s mother prepares for March delivery

In a poignant turn of events, the parents of the late Punjabi sensation, Sidhu Moosewala, are set to welcome a new member into their family. Charan Kaur, Moosewala’s mother, is reportedly pregnant through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and is expected to deliver in March. The family, grappling with the loss of Moosewala who was tragically shot dead on May 29, 2022, in Jawaharke village of Mansa, now braces for a bittersweet moment.

Moosewala, the only child of Charan Kaur and Balkaur Singh, who are both in their late fifties, left an indelible mark on the Punjabi music scene. According to reports Charan Kaur’s pregnancy has been carefully monitored by a medical team, and she has maintained a low profile for over six months, staying away from public attention.

Sidhu Moosewala, who unsuccessfully contested the 2022 elections from Mansa on a Congress ticket, had revealed in an affidavit that his mother was 56 years old at that time, and his father Balkaur Singh was 60.

The murder case of Moosewala involves 31 accused, including notorious gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, with 25 already taken into custody. On the day of the tragic incident, Moosewala left his house with his cousin Gurpreet Singh and neighbor Gurwinder Singh around 4:30 pm. Driving his SUV to his aunt’s house in Barnala, his vehicle was blocked by two cars at Jawaharke, where around 30 rounds were fired. The reduction of Moosewala’s police security a day prior left him with only two commandos instead of the earlier four.

Despite his untimely demise, Moosewala’s musical legacy endures. Known for his self-written and produced songs, he continues to be revered as one of the most beloved Punjabi singers, especially among the youth. Posthumously released songs have continued to captivate audiences, amassing millions of hits.Charan Kaur, in addition to managing the family’s journey, has recently voiced support for protesting farmers in the ‘Dilli Chalo’ movement through her social media platforms. She has also sought justice for Shubhkaran Singh, a farmer who lost his life at Khanauri border, sharing poignant images of Sidhu Moosewala, Deep Sidhu, and Shubhkaran Singh on her social media accounts.
