A bizarre event happened in UP when a 22-year-old man was arrested for enacting a Spanish actor ad trying to extort money on social media from a woman. The accused is identified as Abbuzar Rehman who is a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Bhaghpat district. The Police said he was arrested on Monday.
The victim woman is a BPO employee in Noida, alleged that the man, who was impersonating a Spanish actor, connected with her through Instagram. The two soon became friends and she shared her private pictures with him, a senior Police official said.
When the woman did not agree to the demands of the fake ‘Spanish actor’, the accused made a fake profile of her and uploaded her pictures on it. The man shared the post with the woman. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sagar Singh Kalsi said that the accused used the photos of Spanish actor Manu Rios to make the fake Instagram profile, which grabbed the attention of the woman.
He made touch with the complainant and requested that she send him some of her pictures. Then, according to the police, he stored these images intending to extort money from her.
