A joint team of CM’s FlyingSquad and health department raided a nursing home — SS Nursing Home and maternity centre — running illegally in Manesar’s Naharpur and arrested a quack on Tues.
Police have sealed all facilities belonging to the accused, Saurabh Singh who is a general nursing and midwifery degree holder. He identified himself as a doctor and was found treating patients illegally. The accused has been using Himani, another doctor’s letterhead and stamp to prescribe medicines, while she was away in Bahadurgarh, her hometown.
When demanded, the accused could not produce any legal documents related to the registration and permission to run the hospital, as it was found registered under a different address. “The nursing home is in Naharpur village, while it is registered in Kasan village in Manesar,” said SI Balraj Singh.Cops called doctors, CS Dasila and Himani, who are medical practitioners at the nursing home.
“While Dasila reached the nursing home, Himani couldn’t because she was in her hometown in Bahadurgarh. Dasila presented his degree and licence for practising,” said the sub-inspector.
A case was registered against him for violating Section 34 of the National Medical Council Act 2019, and other relevant sections of the IPC.
