Man Killed by In-Laws in Bihar After Objecting to Wife’s Instagram Reels Obsession

In a tragic incident in Bihar’s Begusarai, a man named Maheshwar Kumar Rai was allegedly killed by his in-laws after he objected to his wife’s obsession with creating Instagram reels for viral songs. The victim, married to Rani Kumari for six years with a five-year-old son, recently returned from working as a laborer in Kolkata.

The fatal incident occurred in Fafaut village, where an argument ensued between the couple over Maheshwar’s objection to his wife’s constant involvement in making Instagram reels. The disagreement escalated, prompting Maheshwar to visit his in-law’s house late at night.

During the night, Rudal, the victim’s brother, called Maheshwar, leading to a phone argument. Subsequently, Rudal called the family, who rushed to the in-laws’ house and discovered Maheshwar Rai’s lifeless body. The victim’s father alleged that Maheshwar was hanged to death due to his opposition to his wife’s reel-making activities, and the woman’s family members were missing from the house when they arrived.

Upon informing the police, the body was sent for a post-mortem, and an investigation is currently underway. The family claimed that they witnessed four individuals attempting to dispose of the body under the pretext of taking it to a hospital when they arrived at the scene.
