Man beats cop who asked him to remove tinted glass from car windows; injures himself after scuffle

A police officer was violently attacked at the traffic checkpoint by a man for a trivial offence while performing his duty. A traffic officer instructed a man, 31, to take off the tinted glass from his car windows, and the man reportedly assaulted the officer.

When he observed other police officers approaching him after the encounter, the accused allegedly hit his own head with a stone. According to the police, the event happened on October 17 in the evening in Indore. According to reports, the individual has been detained by police.

A traffic police team halted a sports utility vehicle (SUV) during a vehicle inspection drive because the windscreen and window lenses were covered in a black film. The use of tinted or black glass is not permitted due to traffic regulations.

The owner of the SUV, a resident of Morar in Gwalior, was instructed to remove the tinted glass and pay a fine for breaking the law, according to the police. However, the owner of the SUV allegedly beat a police officer who was on duty violently.

Police claimed that the accused afterwards hurt himself when he noticed additional officers approaching him. The suspects have been charged with assaulting and threatening police officers as well as hindering government operations, according to the police.

A police officer was recently attacked at a police station in the Mainpuri region of Uttar Pradesh by a man who had recently been called for counselling by the police in connection with a domestic abuse case, according to reports. He was later arrested for his crime.
