Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Swells: 28 Leaders, Including Kailash Vijayvargiya and Prahlad Patel, Take Oath as Ministers

In a significant cabinet expansion in Madhya Pradesh, a total of 28 Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, including prominent figures like Kailash Vijayvargiya, Vishwas Sarang, and Prahlad Patel, took the oath as ministers on Monday. The expansion marked a strategic move to strengthen the state government’s leadership.

Among the 28 leaders, 18 assumed the role of cabinet ministers, including Pradumna Singh Tomar, Tulsi Silavat, Edal Singh Kasana, Narayan Singh Kushwaha, Vijay Shah, Rakesh Singh, Prahlad Patel, Kailash Vijayvargiya, Karan Singh Verma, Property Uike, Uday Pratap Singh, Nirmala Bhuria, Vishwas Sarang, Govind Singh Rajput, Inder Singh Parmar, Nagar Singh Chauhan, Chaitanya Kashyap, and Rakesh Shukla.

Six leaders were sworn in as Ministers of State (Independent Charge): Krishna Gaur, Dharmendra Lodhi, Dilip Jaiswal, Gautam Tetwal, Lekhan Patel, and Narayan Pawar. Additionally, Radha Singh, Dilip Ahirwar, Pratima Bagri, and Narendra Shivaji Patel took the oath as state Ministers.

This expansion comes after the appointment of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on December 13, succeeding former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The ceremony also saw the swearing-in of Deputy Chief Ministers Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda, along with the installation of former Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar as the Assembly Speaker.

The BJP secured a decisive victory in the recent assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, winning 163 out of the 230 seats. The cabinet expansion aims to enhance the government’s administrative capabilities and address key issues in the state.
