Yuvraj Goel, 28, an only child, was tragically shot dead on June 7 in Surrey, British Columbia. The incident has left his family devastated, with his parents too distraught to speak.
According to family friends, Canadian police have indicated that the shooting was a case of “mistaken identity.” Yuvraj had been returning home from the gym and was on the phone with his mother. He disconnected the call as he reached his house parking lot.
Shortly after, someone approached him and asked if he lived in the building. When Yuvraj confirmed, he was shot six times and died at the scene.
Police officials revealed that a recording of the phone call provided crucial information about the events leading up to the shooting. This recording has been instrumental in understanding what transpired at the crime scene.
