LG of Ladakh hosts farewell party for outgoing administrative secretaries

The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), hosted a heartfelt farewell party to bid adieu to outgoing Commissioner Secretary Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan and Secretary to the HLG, Ravinder Kumar, at the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat.

Expressing warm wishes for their future endeavors, Lt Governor BD Mishra commended both officials for their dedication and hard work during their tenures. He emphasized the importance of upholding integrity, morality, and principles regardless of challenges faced in their assignments, noting that true character shines in adversity. Lt Governor Mishra particularly praised Ravinder Kumar’s efforts in addressing the mortality of pashmina kids by distributing and installing 1000 pashmina goat kid pens in the Changthang area to protect them from harsh winter conditions.

Highlighting Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan’s contributions, the Lt Governor lauded his pivotal role in organizing groups of students and teachers from Ladakh to represent the region across India during the UT Foundation Day 2023 celebrations.

ADGP Ladakh, Dr SD Singh Jamwal, IPS, shared fond memories of working with Ravinder Kumar and Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan, describing them as invaluable assets to every department they served. He expressed heartfelt best wishes for their future endeavors.
During the farewell event, Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan and Ravinder Kumar expressed gratitude to the Lt Governor and their colleagues for the support and opportunities provided during their tenures. They highlighted key initiatives undertaken to promote tourism, enhance infrastructure, and support rural development in Ladakh.

Prominent officials including ADGP Ladakh, Dr SD Singh Jamwal, IPS; Principal Secretary Sanjeev Khirwar; Commissioner Secretary Dr Laltinkhuma Franklin; Secretary Amit Sharma; Deputy Commissioner Leh Santosh Sukhadeve; and Director of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Ladakh Tahir Hussain were present to bid farewell to the outgoing administrative secretaries.

The farewell event was marked by sentiments of appreciation and camaraderie as colleagues and officials gathered to celebrate the contributions of Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan and Ravinder Kumar to the development and welfare of Ladakh.
