Kathgarh police station at Hitech naka by conducting a special blockade, seized a catering vehicle and recovered 291 bottles of illegal liquor from it. The police arrested the caterer and its driver and registered a case under the Excise Act.
According to information provided by Pankaj Sharma, it was revealed that based on credible intelligence, two individuals were transporting illegal alcohol in a catering vehicle with registration number HR 69C 1531 Tata 909. Upon conducting checks at the Hi-Tech nakas, specifically during the vehicle’s inspection at the Nawan Shahar to Ropar route, the driver was signaled to stop the said catering vehicle. However, upon seeing the police party, they attempted to escape. Promptly, the police took immediate action, seizing the vehicle and discovering 291 bottles of illegal liquor concealed inside it.
