On Thursday in the nation’s capital, Siddaramaiah, the chief minister of Karnataka, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister received a traditional wooden elephant figurine from Siddaramaiah.
The Congressman’s meeting with PM Modi is their first since the latter was appointed Chief Minister of the recently-completed election state in the south. The CM arrived at the Parliament earlier. “All is well in Karnataka…There are no differences between me and Shivakumar, we are together,” Siddharamaiah said in response to a question from reporters about his relationship with his deputy DK Shivakumar. Later on in the day, he also had a meeting in Parliament House with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
