On Wednesday, BJP president J P Nadda arrived in Rajasthan to hold meetings with the party office-bearers from the Kota division ahead of the upcoming elections. Nadda was received at the Kota airport by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and members of the party’s Mahila Morcha. From the airport, Nadda went to a hotel where his first meeting with the party office-bearers from Kota and Bundi districts took place. JP Nadda sought victory plans from the ticket aspirants of the Hadoti region to ensure the triumph of the party on 17 seats of the region.
BJP State Incharge Arun Singh, State BJP President CP Joshi and other senior leaders were present at the meeting. Vasundhara Raje, who is MLA from Jhalarapatan assembly constituency of Jhalawar district in Hadoti region gave the meeting a miss. However, her son, Dushyant Singh, BJP MP from the Jhalawar parliamentary constituency, attended the meeting.
While addressing party leaders at a divisional-level meeting of the party in a private hotel in Kota, Nadda asked the ticket aspirants and BJP MLAs whether they had done their self-analysis or not. He asked, “Have you fought for the party and contributed to the party? What plan have you chalked out for victory over 17 seats of the Hadoti region?”.
He mentioned that only a few will get a party ticket, but every party worker has to contribute fully to the success of the party in the assembly polls. He asserted that almost a month is left before polls and party workers should go to the grassroots level for the party campaigning.
While addressing the media, Nadda said that the people of Rajasthan have made up their minds to bring BJP to power in the state. He alleged that the people of Rajasthan are fed up with the misrule of the Congress-led state government and will oust Congress in the polls.
