Joint Secretary Jitendra Prasad Sah was tracking with another officer, during which foot slipped, due to which he fell into the ditch and died.
The team of officers had gone on a trip from Bihar to Himachal Pradesh. Half a dozen officers of Bihar government were included in the team. During the tracking, the Joint Secretary level officer fell into the ditch and died.
Jitendra Kumar Sah was Joint Secretary in the Sugarcane Development Department of Bihar. On 25 June, while tracking near Jakha in Himachal Pradesh, he became unbalanced and then fell into a ditch. He suffered severe head injuries and then died on the spot. His dead body was taken out by NDRF and his dead body is being taken for postmortem at Sandasri Hospital.
A total of 5 members were involved in the tracking. Principal Secretary of Sugarcane Development Department Narmadeshwar Lal, District Informatics Officer Ram Bhagwan, Dr. Ramesh of Animal Husbandry Department were included in the team.
Shashank Shekhar Sinha, President of Bihar Administrative Services Association expressed grief. General Secretary of Bihar Administrative Services Association Sunil Kumar Tiwari has also expressed deep condolences on the sudden demise of Jitendra Sah, an officer of Bihar Administrative Services. “I have prayed to God that he may get salvation and may Almighty God give strength to the family members to bear the sorrow.” Late Jitendra Shah left behind his wife and two sons.
