Jharkhand-Shocker: Spanish woman gang-raped by seven men

In a shell-shocking incident from Jharkhand, a Spanish woman who was on a bike tour with her husband has been brutally gang-raped by seven men. The incident happened in the Dumka district on Friday night.

According to sources, the woman was on a bike ride with her husband. She was on her way to Nepal via Bhagalpur. The couple were riding to Bhagalpur via Dumka when the incident happened.

In the complaint filed to the police, the woman said she was in her tent in an area near Hansdiha market. As she slept, some men entered the tent and brutally gang-raped her. The accused also beat her up.

Three people have been arrested in the case. The other four have been identified as well. The victim is currently at the Phulo Jhano Medical College Hospital in Dumka and is undergoing medical tests. The police said further investigation is underway.

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey lashed out at the government saying, “In this state, neither Adivasis nor Dalits are safe. Now this has become an international matter that a Spanish woman comes with her husband to India, and it comes to light that she has been gang-raped. I appeal to CM Champai Soren to concentrate on law and order in the state. If posting will take place based on any caste then this sort of incident will occur often.”
