The much-awaited ropeway for the famous Khole Ke Hanuman Temple, located behind the historical Galta Hills in Pink City, Gulabi Nagar, started on Thursday. Connecting the Vaishno Mata Temple and Khole Ke Hanumanji Temple, this ropeway spans 436 meters. Previously, devotees had to climb 121 steps to reach the temple, but now the journey can be completed in just over four minutes. On Thursday evening, Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra inaugurated the ropeway, accompanied by a special puja and archana at the temple.
Before the ropeway’s inauguration, the company responsible for its construction and maintenance tested trolleys with a weight of 480 kilograms for five hours each day. Additionally, after the human trials commenced on September 15, safety officials issued a safety certificate following an assessment of the ropeway’s security and capacity. Each trolley of the ropeway can carry a minimum of 6 passengers. The ticket price for the general public is set at Rs.150 per person, while it is Rs.38 for children under 5 years old and Rs.75 for senior citizens and differently-abled individuals.
The Khole Ke Hanuman Ji Temple and the Vaishno Mata Temple in Jaipur have already been a centre of attraction for tourists. With the introduction of the ropeway, it is expected to make travel more convenient for pilgrims and tourists alike.
MLA of Chomu, Ram Lal Sharma said, “The ropeway at Khole Ke Hanuman Temple has started. This will be very beneficial for devotees. A similar ropeway is also ready at Samod. However, the government is consistently delaying its operation. We urge the government to allow the operation of the Samod Hanuman Temple ropeway.”
