ISI agent sending maps to Pak intelligence agency nabbed

The State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) of the Punjab Police has arrested an accused on charges of spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI, from Sector 40 of Chandigarh. According to the information, the arrested accused was spying for ISI for a long time. After receiving the information, Punjab Police sprung into action and arrested the accused.

According to officials, the accused was sending maps of sensitive areas, buildings, etc. in Punjab to ISI for the last 4 years. The police are trying to determine what kind of sensitive information was transmitted, why the spy conveyed such information across the border, and what was their purpose.

The arrested spy has been identified as Tapinder Singh. Following his arrest, the accused was brought before the Mohali court after completing paperwork. From there, he has been sent on police remand until 19 December.
