Well-known microblogging site ‘x’, formerly known as Twitter has been causing users difficulties. Users in India and other countries have reportedly encountered difficulties using the Elon Musk-owned social networking site on both online and app interfaces, according to reports from Downdetector.
In India, a significant number of users reported problems accessing the platform, with a spike in complaints recorded by Downdetector. Around 41% of X users faced difficulties on the web version, while 57% of mobile app users reported being unable to view posts.
The issues peaked in India at 1:12 pm, with 521 reports of difficulties accessing X. Globally, the problem reached its highest point at 1:15 pm (IST), with over 3,700 users reporting problems.
Users have been receiving error messages like “something went wrong. Try reloading” when attempting to access posts on the platform, indicating a widespread technical issue.
As of now, neither Elon Musk nor the microblogging platform has acknowledged the outage. Consequently, the exact cause of the disruption remains unknown.
This is the second outage within a week, following a similar incident where users in India faced difficulties accessing posts on X’s web platform. However, the Twitter app remained functional during that period, even for users who couldn’t access X on their PCs.
