International narcotics peddling racket busted, two peddlers nabbed

On credible information, the sleuths of Special Operations Team (SOT), Malkajgiri Zone team along with Nacharam police busted an international narcotics peddling racket and apprehended the accused viz., Mohd Kasim and Rasuldeen who were involved in clandestine supply of pseudoephedrine (a narcotic control substance) being parceled through an international courier agency from Hyderabad to Australia and New Zealand.

Drug smuggling gangs operating in TN have been using the Pune and Hyderabad air cargo route to smuggle pseudoephedrine and other banned substances to Australia, New Zealand. They used to book the drug parcels at international courier services located at Pune, Hyderabad by concealing the pseudoephedrine in cloth boxes, bangle boxes, baby wear gift packs, etc., by providing the morphed address proofs i.e., Aadhar, Pan cards of local people. 

On 11.12.2022 SOT, Malkajgiri Zone team along with Nacharam police raided a lodge, under the limits of Nacharam police station and seized 8.5 kg of pseudoephedrine, cash Rs 4,02,500 and other incriminating material from their possession.
