International Gita Mahotsav’s stage becomes focal point to showcase culture, arts

The stage of the International Gita Mahotsav in Kurukshetra has become a focal point showcasing the country’s rich culture and arts. The Mahotsav highlights the diverse nature of various art forms and folk cultures from various states.
The most significant aspect is that cultural programmes are being organised at 164 pilgrimage sites of 48 Kos during the Mahotsav. On the fourth day of the Crafts and Saras Fair of International Gita Mahotsav-2023 also sees a steady increase in tourist numbers.
On the ghats of Brahma Sarovar, the best artists from the North Zone Cultural Centre are giving presentations from various regions presenting the cultural aspects of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan at the ghat. The Mahotsav has over 750 stalls, featuring national and state-awarded artisans।
NZCC, officer,  Bhupender Singh says that on behalf of NZCC, artists are entertaining the tourists by performances like Punjab›s Luddi, Himachal›s Kullu-Nati, Jammu & Kashmir›s Rouf, and Uttarakhand›s Chhapeli Dance.The Deputy Commissioner, Kurukshetra,  Shantanu Sharma, mentioned that while the Crafts and Saras fair of the International Gita Mahotsav will continue till December 24, the main programmes, starting from December 17th to December 24th, include the International Gita Seminar, Deepotsav, Vashvik Gita Path, Sant Sammelan and departmental exhibitions.
He said that these core events will be held at Purushottam Pura Bagh of Brahma Sarovar, Morning and evening cultural programmes will grace the main stage, while evening events commence around 6 PM. Adequate security measures have been put in place by the administration for the safety of attendees.
