The Advanced Eye Center, PGI, Chandigarh, organized the 11th Annual Meeting of the Cornea Society of India at Hyatt Regency, Chandigarh, from 8th to 10th December.
This prestigious meeting was organized under Prof S S Pandav, the organizing Chairperson, Prof Amit Gupta Organizing Secretary and Prof Chintan Malhotra co-organizing secretary from PGI, along with members of Cornea Society of India which is headed by Prof Namrata Sharma from R P center for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi.
More than 500 international and national ophthalmologists from all over the country and world, including USA, UK, Australia, Japan and Egypt attended the meeting. The highlights of the meeting were didactic lectures on recent advances and complicated corneal diseases along with demonstration and training of ophthalmologists in several advanced surgical techniques through dedicated wetlabs under the supervision of experts from around the world. Prof Rasik Bihari Vajpayee from Melbourne Australia was awarded the lifetime achievement award by the Cornea Society.
