Infrastructure transformation enhances statewide connectivity

Under the dynamic leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, the state government has successfully established an extensive road network, greatly enhancing the mobility of its residents. This comprehensive infrastructure has significantly reduced travel time and expenses, allowing people to traverse the entire state within a few hours by vehicles. 20 new national highways spanning 1130 km have been declared in the state, with 8 projects already completed and 12 currently underway. This development ensures that every district in the state is now connected to the National Highway network.
In a strategic move to alleviate traffic congestion around the national capital Delhi, two expressways—Kundli-Manesar-Palwal and Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal—have been operationalized, providing efficient routes and minimizing delays for drivers. This initiative aims to streamline traffic flow in and around Delhi.
Furthermore, the Ambala to Kotputli Greenfield Corridor (152-D) has been successfully completed at a cost of Rs 10,646 crore. This corridor facilitates rapid and smooth vehicular movement, allowing vehicles to cover vast distances in just a few hours. The completion of these infrastructure projects marks a significant milestone in enhancing connectivity and transportation efficiency across the state.
The escalating congestion on state roads and national highways prompted the government to take proactive measures to alleviate traffic issues. In a significant relief initiative, the government invested Rs 3,642 crore to construct 6,863 km of new roads, alongside improving 41,869 km of existing roads at a cost of Rs 21,133 crore. Additionally, 17 toll tax barriers were removed to further facilitate smoother traffic flow.
