Mahaveer C. Singhvi, (IFS) , Joint Secretary, Counter Terrorism Ministry of External Affairs held a meeting with co-chair with the US Department of State. Timothy Betts, the acting as a Counter Terrorism Coordinator in the 19th meeting which was held between India and US Joint Working Group having a discussion on “The International Centre for Counter Terrorism” and on the 5th Designation Dialogue which was held on December 12 to December 13, 2022 at New Delhi, including the Ministry of External Affairs, India, the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Counterterrorism, the U.S. Embassy India, the India Embassy US.
It might be recalled that India has stated in the UN Security Council that the era of classifying terrorists as “bad” and “good” on the basis of political convenience must end immediately. India said that categorising terror acts by their intention as ideologically motivated or religious will dilute the shared global commitment to fighting terrorism
