India logs 2,380 new Covid-19 cases; active cases dip to 27,212

India reported 2,380 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, as per data from the Union Health Ministry. The number of active cases dropped to 27,212 from the previous day’s count of 30,041.

The country’s Covid-19 tally increased to 4.49 crore (4,49,69,630) with the addition of the fresh cases, while the death toll rose to 5,31,659 with 15 fatalities. Active cases now constitute 0.06% of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.75%, according to the ministry.
