Sanjay Kumar, Secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL) under the Ministry of Education, convened a discussion with Mochammad Firman Hidayat, Deputy Coordinating Minister for Maritime Resources of Indonesia, regarding the specifics of the PM Poshan Scheme.
Anandrao V Patil, Additional Secretary, briefed the delegation on the scheme’s particulars. Vipin Kumar, another Additional Secretary, along with other senior officials from both the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of External Affairs, attended the session.
As per the Ministry of Education, Sanjay Kumar conveyed that the initiative furnishes hot cooked meals to students spanning from pre-primary to Class VIII in government and government-aided schools.
“The delegation sought guidance on implementing a comparable program in their own country, and received invaluable insights from Sanjay Kumar, who provided a comprehensive overview of the scheme ” Education Ministry added.
Patil delivered a presentation spotlighting critical aspects of the program, encompassing its objectives, scale, provisions, and components, among other details.
