IB issues terror attack alert before 15 August

Ahead of Independence day, the Intelligence Bureau (IB) on Thursday issued a terror attack alert before 15 August. In this regard a 10-page report was released by the intelligence agency. The report said that Jaish-e-Mohammed (Kheet), Lashkar-e-Taiba, and other radical groups may carry out attacks before Independence Day.

The report has directed the Delhi Police to enforce strict entry rules at the venue of the Red Fort. Apart from Delhi Police, other states have also been asked to keep an eye on radical groups ahead of Independence Day.

The report also mentions that Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI is provoking Lashkar Jaish terrorists to carry out terrorist attacks.

Moreover, the ISI has formed the Lashkar-e-Khalsa group and Afghan fighter has been included in it. This terrorist group can carry out major terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the IB report, JeM and Lashkar can use paragliders and unmanned aerial vehicles for the attack, so BSF has also been kept on alert.
