Harshvardhan Kapoor’s breakthrough performance in ‘AK Vs AK’ got a thumbs up from both the critics and the audience.Harshvardhan spoke exclusively with The Daily Guardian and shared his experience, praise he received for ‘AK VS AK’ and future projects.
Q. What was your first reaction to the love you received for ‘AK VS AK’?
It has been surprising, I did not expect it. It has been overwhelming and a big moment for me. Validation from the critics and audience is crucial for a young, upcoming actor.
Q. You have ‘Thar’ and ‘Spotlight’ coming up, can you give us a sneak peek of the characters?
Unfortunately, I can’t speak much about ‘Thar’ and ‘Spotlight’. ‘Spotlight’ is a comedy film with Radhika Madan and should be out in May or June. ‘Thar’ has me, my dad, Satish Kaushik, Fatima Sana Sheikh, and Mukti Mohan. It may release by the end of the year and I am eagerly waiting for the edit.
Q. One thing that intrigues you to be a part of a film and why?
It depends on how unique the director’s vision is, I want to do new things in a new environment. I always see it as a passion project and never think of it to attain stardom or further my career.
Q. Do you prefer films or web series?
I would love to do a series or a film depending on the script and concept. I have done a bunch of films for Netflix. ‘Spotlight’ is a Netflix film and I am looking forward to sharing it with you.
