Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made a significant announcement on Thursday regarding the farming sector in the state.
He stated that the Horticulture Department of the state would be constructing six polyhouses, with four planned for project areas and the remaining two to be located in battalion headquarters.
The Chief Minister made this announcement while inaugurating the Bolero vehicles and motorcycles provided to the Eco Task Force by the Uttarakhand Horticulture Department at Garhi Cantt, Dehradun.
During the event, two Bolero pickups and 10 motorcycles were handed over to the Eco Task Force. In addition, the Public Works Department will provide two JCBs for 120 days to conserve rainwater before the monsoon season in both project areas.
Tanks with a capacity of 50,000 litres will also be constructed for water storage under the Jal Jeevan Mission at Sahiya, Kasyali, and the battalion headquarters of the Eco Task Force, the Chief Minister added.
