In the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election, the second day of home voting was scheduled for Wednesday. On the first day, 19.61% of eligible voters chose the option of home voting. For those who didn’t vote in the first phase, the second phase will run from November 19 to 21.
Civil Lines constituency in Jaipur district recorded the highest number of votes, with 169 voters casting their votes, while the Viratnagar area had the lowest with 45 votes. In Jaipur district, a total of 7,230 voters opted for home voting, including 1,473 senior citizens and differently-abled individuals.
Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta mentioned, “On the first day of home voting in Rajasthan, a total of 12,432 people voted, including 9,687 senior citizens aged 80 or above and 2,655 differently-abled voters. Only 19.61% of the 62,927 voters who chose the option have voted so far. The process will continue in two phases until November 21, aiming for 100% voter participation.”
