The Winter Session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly is anticipated to take place at the Tapovan Vidhansabha Complex near Dharmshala in December. The State Council of Ministers is set to convene on November 18 in Shimla, where they may give their approval for the session’s planning. Kuldeep Singh Pathania, the Speaker of the HP Legislative Assembly, shared with the media today that the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat has proposed a schedule awaiting approval from the council of ministers and the Governor. He emphasized that the State Assembly secretariat is fully prepared for the winter session and would promptly finalize all arrangements once approval is received from the state government. Two proposals for session dates, either from December 11 to 17 or December 18 to 25, are currently under consideration by the government. The final decision rests with the state government, and any further delay in the winter session is considered unlikely, as the state Budget session is also scheduled for February 2024.
