Health department organises free check-up camp, educates public

In adherence to the guidelines of the District Administration and Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra, various departments organised camps to disseminate information about Government of India welfare schemes for marginalized sections and offer services to beneficiaries. Dr. Nidhi Kesarwani, Deputy Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohali Sonam Chaudhary actively participated in the awareness camp.
The event included the presence of Civil Surgeon Dr. Mahesh Kumar Ahuja, Assistant Program Officer Dr. Sangeeta, Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Renu, Senior Medical Officer Surinderpal Kaur, BDPO Lenin Garg, Dr. Gagandeep Singh, Block Extension Educator Gautam Rishi, STLS Sandhya Sharma, STS Rajiv Kumar, Community Health Officer Manpreet Kaur, LHV Krishna Rani, LDM MK Bhardwaj, NFL manager Gagandeep Singh, Swara village sarpanch Kanwaljit Kaur, and other officials.Deputy Secretary Dr. Nidhi Kesarwani emphasized that the Devant Bharat Sankalp Yatra aims to create door-to-door awareness about crucial Government of India schemes and benefit beneficiary families. Health check-up camps were conducted by grassroots Health and Family Welfare Department teams in villages, checking people›s blood pressure, diabetes, and conducting blood tests. The camps also addressed health insurance cards issued under the Ayushman Bharat-Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme, and suspected TB patients received examination and guidance under the National TB Eradication Programme.Furthermore, drone technology demonstrated the application of fertilizers and medicines, including Nano Urea, DAP, and IFFCO Sagarika liquid in fields. Various organizations, such as NFL, State Bank of India, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Post Office Department, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, and Water Supply and Sanitation Department, informed the public about government schemes. The event saw the participation of self-help group members, Asha workers, and Anganwadi workers. Overall, the objective was to raise awareness and provide information about government initiatives directly to the people.
