Haryana’s growth story

I’m 56 years young and live in Haryana
I’m today’s youth in Haryana. Today, even though I am 56 years old, my thinking is young. Celebrating the 57th Foundation Day On 1 November 1966, it came into existence as a separate state from Punjab. It became the 17th state of the country. Once, my identity was limited to sandy and kikar forests. Basic facilities are negligible. I saw many ups and downs in the journey of 55 years, but never looked back.
There is a popular proverb here: “Desa Mein Des Haryana, Jit Doodh-Dhi Ka Khana. However, despite milk-curd and other healthy foods, drug addiction has been stigmatised for some time. The outbreak of drugs is greater in the districts adjoining Punjab. I am on the path of continuous progress. Yes, there are still some gaps left. My financial condition is very strong as compared to Punjab. I have written a new record of development in many fields. The per capita income has reached Rs 2.41 lakh. SGDP is 8.5%. I am second in the whole country in GST collection. Every tenth soldier in the country is from me. developed as an industrial hub. Roads were laid. Gurugram, Faridabad, Panipat, Bahadurgarh, Ambala, Karnal, and Yamunanagar are on the world map with their products.
In my zone, there are high-rise buildings, big educational and health institutions, wide highways, industrial cities, and IT hubs. I am recognised all over the world as the head of sports. The youth were hoisting flags in every field in the country and abroad. Records have been established in many fields, including military, sports, business, education, politics, space, and agricultural research. My way of life, food, and speech makes me different from all other states. Panchkula has developed as an undeclared capital. However, I did not get my capital, the High Court, and Vidhan Sabha. Waiting for SYL water Efforts were made for them, but things did not work out. The matter of creating a separate assembly is under consideration. It is expected that in the future, a new grand assembly building will be ready in Chandigarh.

This is how Haryana became
In 1955, Akali leaders demanded the division of Punjab on the basis of religion. The Central Government accepted the recommendations of the Parliamentary Committee on an in-principle basis. On April 23, 1966, the Punjab Boundary Commission was constituted for the formation of a separate state. On June 12, 1966, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi announced the creation of Haryana as a separate state on the radio. The bill was passed in Parliament on 7 September 1966. On 18 September, the President approved the formation. Haryana came into existence on November
1st, 1966.
Demand for Haryana arose in Lahore in 1923
The demand for making Haryana a separate state was first raised by Swami Satyanand in Lahore (Pakistan) in 1923. After this, the demand for making Haryana a separate state was raised at the All India Student Conference in Meerut under the chairmanship of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram. Pandit Deshbandhu Gupta, Pandit Nekiram Sharma, and Pandit Shriram Sharma also made efforts for the formation of the state. The first general elections were held in 1952, in which Ch. 38 Congress MLAs, including Devi Lal, were elected. to create a separate state. Then Union Home Minister GB Pant in Delhi received a signed memorandum from 125 MLAs from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana regions. In 1953, Ch. Devi Lal put forward the demand for the creation of a separate Haryana state in front of the State Reorganization Commission set up by the Government of India.

The High Court’s dream will be fulfilled soon
The High Court of Punjab and Haryana was united till now. Despite being small states, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Manipur, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh etc. have their own High Courts. Demands arose many times. The state government also sent proposals to the Center, but the matter did not materialise. The way is going to open for this soon.

Punjab is not agreeing on SYL
The Sutlej Yamuna Link Canal (SYL) dispute still persists. Punjab is not agreeing to give canal water to its neighbor, Haryana. Despite the order of the SC, Punjab refused to build the canal. The central government is mediating, but Punjab is not working out. The southern part of Haryana is facing a severe water crisis due to non-receipt of water from Punjab. Punjab has filled its share of the canal with soil.

This is how Ram came. Gaya Ram’s proverb
For example, Haryana was known throughout the country for its defection politics in the form of Aya-Ram and Gaya-Ram. In 1967, Gaya Lal was elected MLA from Palwal’s Hasanpur Legislative Assembly. He changed the party thrice in a single day. First, he left the hand of Congress and joined the Janata Party. Then he came back to Congress after a while. After about 9 hours, he had a change of heart and once again went to the Janata Party. After that, he came back to Congress. Then the then Congress leader, Rao Birender Singh, reached Chandigarh with him and, while interacting with the media, said that Gaya Ram is now Aaya Ram. After this, Aaya Ram and Gaya Ram started being used for defectors.
