Haryana sets up control room in Faridabad to help people stranded in Ukraine

In bid to help and bring back stranded citizens and students in Ukraine, a state level control room has been set up at the office of Divisional Commissioner, Faridabad. The control room would be continuously functional for 24 hours. The telephone number 0129-2981617 has been issued for the Control Room. Duty of the employees has been assigned in different shifts for the smooth functioning of the Control Room. Needy can contact this number to seek help or seek information related to any person or student stuck in Ukraine. The employees have been put on duty in three shifts for the Control Room.

In the first shift, Assistant Nursing and Clerk Gaurav, Computer Operator, Sonia and Pinky Saini will be on duty from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm from Badkhal Tehsil office. In the second shift, Assistant Brijmohan from Sub-Divisional Officer (N.) Office Ballabhgarh, Clerk, Satya Kumar, Computer Operator, Premlata from RTO office and Computer Operator, Premlata from Commissioner Office will be on duty from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Assistant, Amrish Kumar, Clerk, Ravi Kumar from Deputy Commissioner’s office, Computer Operator, Netram from RTO office, and Computer Operator, Anil Ghatwal from Sub Divisional Officer (N) Office Ballabhgarh will be on duty from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.

Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal said that the students of Haryana stuck in Ukraine will be brought back safely. For this, the Ministry of External Affairs and the Government of Haryana are making dedicated efforts, he added. It is pertinent to mention that so far, the Haryana government has contacted 700 students through email, WhatsApp and other communication mediums. As many as 90 students have returned safely. In wake of the crisis in Ukraine, the State Government had already set up a control room. A help desk has been set up at Delhi airport to help the students. Along with this, some students of Haryana have also reached Mumbai by plane from Ukraine and to help them a control room is also being set up there. All possible help is being given to bring these students safely back to Delhi and Haryana. The Union Ministry of External Affairs is keeping a close watch on the entire matter. Four Central Ministers have reached four countries adjoining Ukraine, they are making efforts to bring Indian citizens back to the country by holding talks with these countries. Besides, the Deputy Commissioners are contacting the families of those who are stuck in Ukraine.
