Haryana post-Diwali air crisis: Kaithal AQI tops Delhi at 326, residents struggle

After Diwali in Haryana, the air of 3 cities has become suffocating. People here are having trouble breathing. Kaithal’s Air Quality Index (AQI) of 326 has been recorded higher than Delhi (292). Whereas Faridabad 307 and Rohtak have reached the red zone with 304 AQI. Apart from this, there are also 7 cities where the situation is also bad. Although stubble burning has almost stopped in Haryana, the situation has worsened due to smoke from fireworks on Diwali. AQI has also been recorded in the poor category in seven cities of Haryana. Among these, AQI of Bahadurgarh (218), Fatehabad (285), Gurugram (287), Hisar (249), Yamunanagar (213) has been recorded in poor category. Last Friday, improvement in air quality was seen due to light drizzle in most areas. These cities include Jind, Rohtak, Gurugram, Bhiwani, Bahadurgarh, Hisar, Bhiwani and Manesar. The AQI recorded here is less than 300, although the situation remains bad here too, but these districts have come out of the red zone.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, good news is also coming. Meteorologists have expressed the possibility that there is going to be a change in the weather in the state again. This change will be seen on 13 and 14 November. There are chances of light drizzle at some places during these two days. North-westerly winds have started in Haryana, due to which there will be a drop in day as well as night temperatures.
