Haryana initiates probe into JBT Teacher Recruitment irregularities

The recruitment process of 72 JBT (Junior Basic Teacher) educators in Haryana during the Hooda government’s tenure may face complications. The Education Department has issued notices to all these teachers, instructing them to appear in Panchkula today for document verification and fingerprint checks. A committee has been formed in Sector 2 to investigate the matter, focusing on the documents and fingerprint checks of these 72 JBT teachers.
The Joint Education Department Committee has previously requested these teachers to undergo physical verification several times. However, despite previous requests, the JBT teachers did not comply. This time, the committee appointed for the investigation of this case is conducting document verification and fingerprint checks.
It is noteworthy that the Primary Education Department has initiated the physical verification of all teachers selected under the advertisements released in 2009 and 2012. This decision comes in light of discrepancies found in the AET (Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance) OMR sheets during scientific investigation. In 2009 and 2012, recruitment was conducted for 1207 primary teachers, and a significant number of selected teachers were found to have various irregularities in the OMR sheets during forensic examination at the Madhuban forensic lab.Based on these findings, the state government decided to conduct physical verification of these teachers. The process of physical verification commenced in August and continues to date. Today, many of the 72 JBT teachers presented their documents to the committee for physical verification. Among the 72 JBT teachers, 43 were selected in the 2009 batch, and 29 were selected in the 2012 batch. This group of teachers is undergoing scrutiny due to the concerns raised during the forensic examination of the AET OMR sheets.
