Haryana imposes strict Covid-19 measures in 11 districts

In wake of an acute spike in fresh cases of Corona and as few of the districts are on the verge of becoming corona hub, the Haryana government again has come up with new guidelines and orders so that the spread of the disease can be brought down. In this series, the government has extended the list of districts in group ‘A’ in terms of corona infection adding 5 more to it. Now following the new instructions, the number of districts in group ‘A’ has risen to 11. Districts viz. Karnal, Panipat, Kurukshetra, Rohtak and Jhajjar have been included in the group while Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Ambala and Panchkula were added earlier.

Abiding by the new guidelines, all cinema halls, multiplexes and theater along with all sports complexes, stadia, swimming pools (except being used for training of sports persons for participation in National/International sports events as for organizing National /International sports events) shall remain closed. Thus, keeping in view the exponential rise in Covid-19, the health department continues to mull over every possible strategy to defeat the fatal disease.

Regarding the new guidelines, Anil Vij , the Home Minister also having the portfolio of the Health Minister opined that implementing the norms and guidelines is the only way to defeat the deadly corona. Further, He said that Keeping in view the ongoing scenario, the state government is leaving no stone unturned to deal with the disease.

Apart from aforesaid, the offices (Government and Private), except for emergency essential services, are advised to function with 50 percent staff while bars and restaurants are allowed to operate with 50 percent seating capacity. Besides, the malls and markets shall remain open up to 6 PM excluding the shops of essential supplies like milk/ medical shops so that commoners would not suffer from the shortage of medicines, eatables and many more items.
