Haryana Hackathon Champions Youth Innovation organised to fight drug addiction

Haryana Director General of Police, Shatrujeet Kapur, lauded the success of a recent hackathon, highlighting its role in equipping young minds with the mental strength to say no to drugs, even in challenging situations.
“While honouring the winners of the final round of the drug de-addiction hackathon organized by Haryana Police and Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau in Panchkula today, Shatrujeet Kapur lauded the ‘transformative influence’ of technology. He pointed to the vast difference between today’s information-rich landscape and the communication limitations of the past. Applauding the hackathon’s ‘effective utilization’ of modern tools and collaboration, he emphasized how this ‘dynamic synergy’ empowers young minds not only to ‘establish healthy boundaries’ regarding drugs but also to understand them in this complex age..Themed “Reinventing Communication with the Youth,” the hackathon saw teams from across India presenting innovative solutions for drug de-addiction. In today’s final round, each team had 2 minutes to showcase their innovative ideas and present their solutions. Shatrujeet Kapur boosted the morale of the winning teams by awarding them a total of Rs 3 lakh. The first-place team received Rs 1.5 lakh, the second-place team was awarded Rs 1 lakh, and the third-place team received Rs 50 thousand.
Additional Director General of Police, HSNCB OP Singh, expressed that the hackathon aimed to connect youth with the drug de-addiction campaign, preventing them from falling victim to drug addiction.
