Haryana CM’s Delhi visit secures approval for candidate announcement

Anil Vij, Haryana’s influential leader, frequently grabs attention with his statements. During his two-day visit to Delhi, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar secured approval after meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and party national president JP Nadda. Party insiders suggest that the central leadership will announce the candidate’s name today.

To provide context, Mallikarjun Kharge, the Congress national president, had remarked during a speech that when someone buys a dog or an animal from the market, they conduct an investigation. Similarly, if you make someone a booth agent, ensure they are someone who barks or fights. In response, Haryana’s Home Minister Anil Vij made a significant statement, criticizing Kharge’s intentions of appointing only those from his community as Congress booth agents.

Anil Vij also responded to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, stating that BJP does not want to take in a tricky character like Kejriwal. Kejriwal had mentioned that if they had done something wrong, they could have joined the BJP like others and gotten their cases closed. Kejriwal also said that if they haven’t done anything wrong, then why join the BJP? All the cases against them are false, and sooner or later, they will be resolved. In response, Vij humorously commented that they wouldn’t want to take in a tricky character like Kejriwal, comparing him to a tricky fox. Vij asserted that such people who entered politics with a façade are now exposed, and the real Kejriwal is emerging. Such individuals have no place in the BJP.”
