GUPKAR ‘GANG’ WANTS FOREIGN INFLUENCE IN J&K: AMIT SHAH

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has hit out at the Gupkar alliance formed in Jammu and Kashmir. The joint coalition, which includes several political parties, including the PDP and the National Conference, has been described by Amit Shah as a “gang”. The Union minister also hit out at Rahul and Sonia Gandhi for “trying to destabilise J&K.

Through several tweets, Shah said that the Gupkar ‘gang’ wants foreign forces to intervene in Jammu and Kashmir. “The group of gangsters are going global. They want foreign forces to intervene in Jammu and Kashmir. The Gupkar gang has also insulted the tricolour of India. Do Sonia Gandhi and Rahul ji support such a move of the Gupkar gang? He should make his stand clear to the people of India,” tweeted Shah.

He further said that the Congress and the Gupkar gang want to bring Jammu and Kashmir back to the era of terror and unrest. “They want to take away the rights of Dalits, women and tribals by removing Article 370. This is why they are being rejected by people everywhere,” he added.  The Union Home Minister, in another tweet, said that Jammu and Kashmir has always been and will remain an integral part of India. “The Indian people will no longer tolerate a profane ‘global gathbandhan’ against national interest. Either the gang goes along with the national mood or people of the country will drown it themselves,” the tweet said further.

Omar Abdullah, former J&K CM and National Conference Leader, retaliated to Shah’s attacks and said, “I can understand the displeasure of the Hon’ble Home Minister. He was told that the People’s Alliance is going to buy out the elections. This would have given the BJP and the newly formed Kings Party complete relaxation in J&K. We did not do that.”

The Gupkar alliance has been BJP’s target ever since its announcement. The Congress has recently planned to contest the District Development Council (DDC) elections in association with Mehbooba Mufti and Farooq Abdullah.
