Following a brief exchange of fire, police in Greater Noida apprehended a suspect wanted in a firearm robbery case. The offender, named as Keshav Kumar, was apprehended after a shootout on Sunday night, according to Uttar Pradesh police. According to police, the accused opened fire on its officers while on patrol.
The police squad was on patrol when they received information that the culprit was in the vicinity, according to Ashok Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida). “During patrolling, police tried to stop the suspect but he opened fire on the police. Police retaliated and he suffered a bullet injury.”
“The name of the accused is Keshav Kumar. He had looted a gun in the year 2021 and was on the wanted list. There was a bounty of Rs 10,000 on him. He is undergoing treatment currently,” the ADCP said. Further investigation is underway.
