Govt schools perform better than private ones in Delhi

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal addressed the students of government schools and praised their performance in 12th CBSE boards. He lauded the schools for a pass percentage of 97.87%, in comparison with private schools which have a pass percentage of 93%.

The chief minister said, “Since our government was formed, the results have been getting better every year since 2016. There was a time when government schools were considered unfit. Today, the children of our government schools have proved that intelligence does not come from money. In 2016, results were 85.9%. Now in 2020, it is 98%.”

According to the assessment of the Kejriwal government, out of 916 schools, 396 government schools have 100% pass ratio. Which is a significant improvement in the performance of government schools in Delhi.

“Government school children have proved that they are no less than anyone. Government school teachers are no less than any private school teachers. The CM said that 2% of the children who have failed need not be disappointed. We will help you by taking extra classes,” said Manish Sisodia, Education minister of Delhi.

Ever since Manish Sisodia became the Education Minister of Delhi, he introduced radical changes in the education system. Melania Trump, the First Lady of the U.S., also was awed by the concept of happiness classes. Sisodia said, “The children who have cleared this are first generation learners and students.  Most of them come from migrant families and were being burdened by an inapt education system. We have changed the previous pass ration from 40-50% to 100 percent and that has benefited these very students who are in dire need of education. This time there are 897 out of 916 schools with more than 90% result, 396 with 100% results.  Last time the result from evening schools was 90%, this time it is 96.53%. We will soon achieve 100% results in Delhi. This year›s results of government schools in Delhi have once again proven the efficiency of the education reforms in Delhi.”
