On Wednesday, Governor Kalraj Mishra called for a special review of the law and order situation in the state at the Raj Bhavan, summoning the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, Director General of Police, and Police Commissioner of Jaipur. Mishra said that daytime murders by shooters are a serious concern in the state. He directed continuous monitoring of the situation arising from organized crime and ensured stringent action to apprehend criminals. Mishra emphasized the need for robust measures at all levels to ensure that law and order are not disrupted at any level in the state.
The Governor directed continuous work at all levels of the police and administration with a constant alert. He stated that negligence and carelessness at any level in this regard would not be tolerated.
In the meeting, Chief Secretary Usha Sharma informed that continuous monitoring of the situation is being carried out at the district collector level throughout the state. Additionally, three companies have been deployed at the central government level. She explained that ongoing efforts, including post-mortem and filing FIRs, are being made to apprehend the criminals. Director General of Police, Law and Order, Rajeev Sharma, Chief Secretary to the Governor, Subir Kumar, Chief Special Secretary, Govind Ram Jaiswal, and Police Commissioner, Jaipur, Biju George Joseph, along with other officials, were present in the meeting.
Governor Mishra appealed to the general public for cooperation in maintaining peace, law and order.
He assured that strong action would be taken against criminals and called for the cooperation of everyone in maintaining law and order.
Continuous monitoring of the situation is being carried out, and the Governor urged everyone to contribute to the collective effort for peace and lawfulness.
