Google SGE’s Shocking AI Suggestion: ‘Drink Urine to Pass Kidney Stones’ Leaves Internet Aghast

In a stunning and rather embarrassing development, the newest AI-powered version of Google Search, known as Google SGE (Search Generative Experience), has come under fire for providing advice that seems more fit for science fiction than reality. When a user sought guidance on how to quickly rid themselves of troublesome kidney stones, they were met with a suggestion that borders on the absurd: consuming several gallons of one’s own urine daily. Yes, you read that correctly.

The discovery emerged after a post on X, attributed to @dril, highlighted this astonishing response. “Ready to ship it out,” he quipped, triggering a flood of comments that Google likely didn’t appreciate.

“Respectfully, this doesn’t seem like a quality product,” remarked tech expert Mic King.

“After decades of building the entire field of data science and computer organization, are we really going to abandon it all for AI-driven marketing and short-term gains?” expressed one reader.

“I, for one, don’t appreciate randomly generated legal and medical advice when I’m searching for answers. The finance-driven individuals in the tech industry seem to be monopolizing everything useful and replacing the internet’s role as the world’s greatest library with a mere magic eight ball,” commented another.

Upon conducting the same search query, several others encountered similar results from Google.

While Google has experienced its fair share of eyebrow-raising incidents in the past, this latest blunder from the SGE team might just be the most egregious. However, the search engine has since altered its response to the query and may not yield similar results anymore.
