Goa: PM Modi to inaugurate Mopa International Airport

PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Mopa International Airport on Sunday in Goa with an aim to boost connectivity in the country, as per the information from the Prime Minister office.The development follows the Center’s ongoing efforts to offer top-notch transportation and infrastructure options throughout the nation. In November 2016, the prime minister laid the airport’s cornerstone.The airport was created with sustainable infrastructure in mind and cost about Rs 2,870 crore to construct. It has a solar power plant, green buildings, LED lights on the runway, rainwater collection, a cutting-edge sewage treatment facility with recycling capabilities, among other amenities.
