The residence of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was attacked by Imran Khan’s supporters, according to the police. According to the police, more than 500 miscreants from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party arrived at the prime minister’s Model Town Lahore residence early on Wednesday and set parked cars on fire.
“They also threw petrol bombs inside the premiere’s house,” a senior police officer of Punjab police told the sources.
Only the guards were at the prime minister’s home, according to the police officer, when the criminals struck. A police station was also burned down there.
“As a heavy contingent of police reached there, the PTI protesters left,” he said.
The mob burned the cars parked outside the PML-N Secretariat in Model Town before heading to the prime minister’s residence. Additionally, they set the nearby fences on fire.
In Punjab over the past two days, on Tuesday and Wednesday, demonstrators allegedly set fire to 21 police vehicles and 14 government buildings and equipment.
The Corps Commander House in Lahore was set on fire by the demonstrators on Tuesday after they had looted it.
