At a Bhubaneswar-area private hospital, Sarat Chandra Mishra, a former director general of police (DGP) for Odisha, passed away on Monday. The former Indian Police Service employee was 88 years old. An official statement stated that Mishra was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar after testing positive for dengue. IPS officer from the 1959 class Sarat Chandra Mishra also worked for the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). Additionally, Mishra received the Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award.
