Five Prominent Hindu Temples Outside India 

In India, temples are a very common sight, as our nation has an extremely high level of Hindus. Outside India, they are not really normal. They truly do exist in pretty much every nation, yet at the same time, the sort of footfall one will find in the temples in India, particularly during celebrations, is nowhere else to be found on the planet. But, there are some temples outside India that are very famous and known for their grandeur, ancestry, architecture, etc. 

Angkor Wat 

Angkor Wat is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and was built by the Khmer King Suryavarmanam II in the early 12th century. The temple is considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and can be seen listed on its website as well.‘Angkor Wat’ (or, ‘Angkor Vat’), a temple complex in Cambodia, is the largest religious monument in the world. 

Pashupati Nath Temple 

Pashupatinath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Pashupatinath (Lord Shiva) located near Kathmandu Valley in Nepal. It is one of the sacred temples of Hindus and a World Heritage Site. It is also the oldest temple in Nepal. The temple is famous for the fact that wishes get fulfilled here. 

Sri Maha Mariamman Temple 

Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, in Thai, is a south Indian-style Hindu temple and is dedicated to Goddess Mariamman. The temple has beautifully adorned gopurams. It has images of various gods and goddesses. In this gorgeous temple, one can observe different shrines of many deities. 

Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple 

The Glass Temple is one of the oldest temples in Bahru, Malaysia. The temple is the first and only glass temple in Malaysia. The Sanctum Sanctorum contains the Athma Lingam sanctuary of Lord Shiva as a lotus. Devotees can pour rose water on it and perform their prayers. 

Sri Subramaniam Swamy Devasthanam 

Batu Caves, located north of Kuala Lumpur, are a network of limestone caves that house one of Lord Murugan’s most significant monuments. This temple was erected in 1890 by Tamil businessman K. Thamboosamy Pillai and is currently a popular tourist destination in Malaysia.
